The George Brown College Fashion Exchange located in downtown Toronto is one of the leading organizations for sustainability in the textile and apparel industry. The facility has secured a grant from the Ontario Ministry of Innovation, Research and Science to help advance research in recycling and sustainability. The Director, Marilyn McNeil-Morin has been collaborating with Stacey Fruitman on a number of initiatives, including the MaRS pitch competition for textile innovation in October, 2018.

Fashion Takes Action is a Canadian non-profit focused on sustainability in the fashion industry for over 12 years. The founder, Kelly Drennan is regularly seen across Canadian media advocating for a more sustainable industry. FTA hosts an annual conference in downtown Toronto called WEAR and also has a youth educational program called My Clothes, My World. Stacey Fruitman proudly served on the Board for 2 years.
